The Chapel is committed to making our website accessible and welcoming for all visitors, including people with disabilities. We believe every guest should be able to learn about our historic chapel, explore our services, request information, and contact us with ease.

We are continually working to improve the accessibility and usability of our website and online content.

 

Our Accessibility Efforts

The Chapel website is hosted through Wix. As part of our effort to improve accessibility, we aim to follow commonly recognized website accessibility practices, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, also known as WCAG. Wix’s own accessibility guidance references WCAG 2.0, 2.1, and 2.2 levels as useful standards for site owners to identify in accessibility statements.

As we update our website, we are working to:

    • We aim to use clear wording, readable text sizes, and organized page sections.

  • Image Descriptions

    • We are working to add descriptive alt text to important images, including chapel exterior photos, interior photos, ceremony spaces, and event details.

  • Forms and Inquiries

    • We aim to make our inquiry, contact, tour, and investment guide request forms clear and easy to complete.

  • Mobile-Friendly Layout

    • We review the website on mobile devices so visitors can browse, inquire, and contact us from phones and tablets.

 

Known Limitations

While we are working to improve accessibility, some areas of the website may not yet be fully accessible. These may include:

Some older images that may still need improved alt text

Third-party tools, apps, forms, booking tools, maps, or embedded content

PDF or downloadable documents that may need additional accessibility formatting

Gallery or portfolio layouts that may require ongoing review

Physical Accessibility at The Chapel

The Chapel is a historic 1840 building. Because of its age and historic character, some physical accessibility features may be limited or vary depending on the area of the property, event setup, and guest needs.

We encourage guests and clients to contact us before visiting or booking if they have accessibility questions or accommodation needs. We are happy to discuss the chapel entrance, seating, parking, restrooms, tour needs, and event-day considerations.
